Attached is a copy of Executive Order No. 1009, which authorizes California State University, Monterey Bay to establish Category III fees for the above listed courses.

In accordance with policy of the California State University, the campus president has responsibility for implementing executive orders where applicable and for maintaining the campus repository and index for all executive orders.

Title:

Category III Fees for HPWE 100 Level Courses, HPWE 370L, 371L, and 420L; VPA 326L; and Basic Credential Application Processing Fee at California State University, Monterey Bay

This executive order is issued under the authority granted by Education Code Sections 89035 and 89700, Standing Orders of the Board of Trustees, Chapter II, i, and Board of Trustees’ Resolution RFIN 03-04-00, and consonant with Executive Order Number 740. Effective June 5, 2007, California State University, Monterey Bay is authorized to establish the following Category III Fees: Course Fee Rate Costs covered by the fee HPWE 100 Level Courses – for credit activity courses $5 Purchase and maintenance of the following types of items for use in for-credit activity courses, i.e. balls, bats, discs, jump ropes, steps, mats, sound equipment kicking pads, etc. HPWE 370L an 371L Anatomy & Physiology I and II $20 Purchase of anatomy and physiology lab models, student learning modules, expendable supplies such as spirometer filters, electrodes, wipes and other miscellaneous goods HPWE 420L – Exercise Science Lab $20 Purchase of expendable supplies such as electrodes, capillary tubes, wipes, test strips, blood pressure cuffs, etc. VPA 326L – Visual and Public Art, Photography as Art II $75 Purchase of photo chemicals, mounting supplies, photo easels, watercolor paper, brushes, beakers, canned air, wipes, blades, etc. Basic Credential Application Processing Fee $25 Pay for the services provided to process basic credential applications, including staff time, information workshop materials, advertising, stationary and postage and printer supplies etc. In accordance with Section 89721(l) of the Education Code, revenue collected from Category III fees shall be deposited in a local trust account.
