Category I New Student Orientation Fee— Executive Order Number 1008

Attached is a copy of Executive Order No. 1008, which authorizes California State University, Stanislaus to change the New Student Orientation fee from a Category III fee to a Category I fee.   

In accordance with policy of the California State University, the campus president has responsibility for implementing executive orders where applicable and for maintaining the campus repository and index for all executive orders.

Title:

Category I New Student Orientation Fee; California State University, Stanislaus

This executive order is issued under the authority granted by Education Code Sections 89035 and 89700, Standing Orders of the Board of Trustees, Section II (i), and Board of Trustees’ Resolution RFIN 03-04-00, and consonant with Executive Order Number 740. Effective June 5, 2007, California State University, Stanislaus is authorized to change its Category III New Student Orientation Fee to a Category I New Student Orientation fee.  The new Category I fee is established at fee rates of $55 for freshman, $45 for transfer students and $20 for guests.  Once established, the president has the authority under E.O. 740 (Student Fee Policy) to adjust the fee level after a student referendum or other appropriate consultation.  In accordance with Section 89721(l) of the Education Code, revenue collected from all higher education fees shall be deposited in a local trust account.
