Category III Miscellaneous Course Fee for REC 1001; Category I Fee for Freshman Orientation — Executive Order Number 1005

Attached is a copy of Executive Order No. 1005, which authorizes California State University, East Bay to establish a Category III Miscellaneous Course Fee for REC 1001, Personal Leadership through Outdoor Adventure Challenge, and a Category I fee for Mandatory Freshman Orientation.

In accordance with policy of the California State University, the campus president has responsibility for implementing executive orders where applicable and for maintaining the campus repository and index for all executive orders.

Title:

Category III Miscellaneous Course Fee for REC 1001; Category I Fee for Freshman Orientation – California State University, East Bay
 

This executive order is issued under the authority granted by Education Code Sections 89035 and 89700, Standing Orders of the Board of Trustees, Chapter III, Sections 1, 2 and 6-f-1, and Board of Trustees’ Resolution RFIN 03-04-00, and consonant with Executive Order Number 740. Effective March 12, 2007, California State University, East Bay is authorized to establish the following fees: Category III, Miscellaneous Course Fee for REC 1001: Personal Leadership through Outdoor Adventure Challenge at a fee rate of $50 to pay for activities such as rock climbing, sea kayaking, camping, and park admissions. Category I Mandatory Freshman Orientation Fee at a fee rate of $90. This fee will cover costs associated with orientation-related expenses and first-year experiences designed to integrate freshman students into the campus community. In accordance with Education Code Section 89721(l), revenue collected from all higher education fees shall be deposited in a local trust unless otherwise specified.
