Endowment
The initial gift establishing an endowment is never spent. These
principal funds remain within the specified campus endowment in perpetuity.
The purpose for which the funds were contributed lives on, as does the
name of the donor. Through prudent investing and judicious stewardship,
the purchasing power of endowed funds grows over time.
The Purpose of Endowed Gifts.
Endowed gifts provide exceptional flexibility and can reflect the donor's priorities.
Funds can be established and designated for a wide variety of specific purposes-- scholarships,
scientific and field house equipment, and support for faculty research.
