Giving To The California State University
With more than 474,000 students and
49,000 faculty and staff members, the CSU is the
largest four-year university in the world. Many people are surprised to learn, however,
that state appropriations account for only 75 percent of a CSU student's
education and the balance is partly provided by private support. CSU
campuses depend on income from a variety of sources to support faculty
success and a quality learning experience.
Charitable contributions help the CSU recruit and retain the best faculty,
provide modern libraries and well-equipped facilities, offer cutting edge
technology and service, and extend opportunities to students who might not
otherwise afford college.
Who are these exceptional contributors? People like you - parents,
students, alumni, faculty, staff, small and large businesses, foundations,
government partners and others. To learn more about how you can make a difference,
you may visit a campus by selecting a link to the left or you may contact the CSU
Foundation at (562) 951-4810.
