DESCRIPTION: This is an Amendment to a Master Pricing Agreement
between the University of California (UC) and Fisher Scientific which
enables the purchase of laboratory products and supplies by
participating campuses of the California State University (CSU) at
significantly discounted rates. This Amendment has been executed as
part of a pilot program in cooperative contracting with the UC
system.
This is a voluntary agreement, however,
campuses wishing to take advantage of the discount pricing will be
required to complete an enrollment document which designates Fisher
as a primary source supplier. Campuses choosing to enroll will commit
to mandatory usage of the agreement. Campuses participating in the
agreement must commit to use of Fisher for all designated supplies
and equipment except in the following instances:
- Item has a value of over $5,000 (items over
$5,000 are not sold under the master agreement).
- Contractor cannot provide a supply item
within 5 days.
- Contractor cannot provide an equipment item
within 10 days.
- Contractor cannot provide item or
equivalent.
- After an inquiry, Contractor cannot respond
to emergency request for supplies or equipment.
- Purchase of laboratory furniture associated
with a capital project.
Foundation and grants administrators purchasing
laboratory supplies and products are eligible for participation in
the discount pricing agreement, however, a separate enrollment form
will be required for each billing address requested.
Upon enrollment, campuses will be contacted by
a Fisher representative who will explain the program. Fisher
maintains an internet site for on-line inquiry of catalog products,
however, CSU pricing is only available from customer service based on
assigned account order or from discount price lists directly
distributed to participating campuses.
Campuses interested in participating in the
agreement must complete an enrollment form and submit it to the CSU
contact noted below prior to May 4, 1998.
