Summary The campuses of the California State University have successfully taken extraordinary steps to achieve equality of opportunity for both men and women student athletes. These efforts represent a massive commitment of resources and actions to assure that equality of opportunity exists. The CSU and Cal-NOW have demonstrated that through cooperative efforts and dedication, the intent of both Title IX and the Education Code, Sections 89240 through 89242, can be achieved. The efforts of the CSU can provide a model for the rest of the country.
