General Vendor Information
As part
of the CSU's continuing outreach program, the Office of the
Chancellor is actively seeking to do business with small and disabled
veteran-owned enterprises. It is our policy to utilize these
enterprises to the maximum extent possible under provisions of the
Public Contract Code.
The Contract Services and Procurement Department, located within the Business
and Finance Division, is open for business from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00
p.m. (PST), Monday through Friday, except on legal and CSU holidays.
It is responsible for the contracting of services and purchase
of material, services and commodities and CSU Planned Purchasing
for the Office of the Chancellor.
Each of the
campuses within the CSU system procures its own goods and services
and should be contacted directly for information regarding campus
commodity/service needs.
Contracts for a broad variety of services and minor public works
construction needs are bid each year. Typical ongoing services
include service and maintenance of equipment, cabling, air conditioning,
electrical, janitorial, consulting, and temporary help. Procurements
of goods and services in excess of $50,000 are either bid or placed
with firms holding competitively established Master Enabling Agreements
with the CSU (see the CSU Contract Store at http://www.calstate.edu/csp/.
Purchases of
commodities and short-term services include books, periodicals, and
other publications; computer equipment, software, and supplies;
office/stationery supplies, and paper stock.
Capital
outlay projects are administered by the Capital Planning, Design and
Construction Division. This division is responsible for the
systemwide capital planning, design, and construction of major
capital outlay (state and nonstate funded) projects.
The Capital
Planning, Design and Construction Division contracts with architects,
engineers, surveyors, environmental consultants, project inspectors,
and project managers, as well as plan-checking, material and soil
testing services.
The Office
of the Chancellor is interested in expanding its supplier base,
particularly in the areas of small, and disabled veteran-owned
enterprises to insure, in accordance with legislative requirements,
that a fair proportion of the Chancellor's Office annual procurements
is awarded to such firms offering dependable products and services at
competitive prices.
All vendors
providing goods or services must complete a Vendor Data Record Form.
