Capital Training Program 2007

The New Codes are Here! The New Codes are Here!

This session is intended for campus planners, project managers, and campus architects.

This program focuses on helping users that are familiar with the 2001 California Building Code (1997 UBC with California Amendments) adapt to the 2006 California Building Code (2006 International Building Code (IBC) with California Amendments). Details the important differences between the two codes and covers concepts that are not in the 1997 UBC. In an effort to further aid users, the training will provide explanations as to why the codes differ, with further explanation as to the location of code requirements in the UBC and IBC that are the same, but located in different sections.
