Capital Training Program 2007

Commissioning

A one-day course designed to provide planners, project managers, directors of plant operations and other responsible campus parties with an overview of the commissioning of CSU capital projects. Topics include:

  • Overall description of the commissioning process
  • Roles and responsibilities of A/E, commissioning agents, university personnel and contractor
  • Sample Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to hire a commissioning agent
  • The CSU Master Enabling Agreement (MEA) for commissioning
  • Preselected firms to provide commissioning
  • Funds for commissioning
  • How to issue commissioning work on a project
  • Managing the commissioning process
