This program is designed for CSU personnel who are the construction administrators and/or contract specialists who understand construction contracts and contract regulatory specifications, and who will administer the construction contract in compliance with the numerous state statutes governing public works.

This training session shall review CSU policies, procedures, and processes for construction management of major capital outlay projects. As a complement to the “Law of Design and Construction” training session, we will cover the various phases during construction and include the laws and policies required for each. We aim to highlight the more critical issues during construction, which include, but are not limited to: the pre-bid meeting, bid and award phase, change orders and claims, project completion, and performance reviews and audits.

Attendees will be provided with a comprehensive policy and procedure manual, which is written around the role of the “Construction Administrator,” or the person who is responsible as the trustees’ representative during the construction phase of a project.
