This program is designed for executive facility officers, campus architects, project managers, plant operations, and procurement staff who are involved with managing CSU construction projects.

This training session will address the following subject topics:

  • Builders risk and other forms of insurance, clarifying how they work, what they cover, and campus responsibility; how to file a builder's risk insurance claim.
  • The spirit of CM@Risk—understanding the relationship between the owner, the architect, and the contractor-and why it matters.
  • Case study: Construction project claim and lessons learned.
  • Designing facilities with an eye towards operations—improving facilities operations' input to the design process.
  • Case study: Lifting up a project gone south—from rags to riches.
  • Open discussion, questions and answers.
