Subject: Implementation of Five Percent State University Fee Rate Reduction for Undergraduates

Determination of student status for implementation of the five percent rate reduction in undergraduate State University Fee rates for 1998/99 will be based on the standard definitions from the Enrollment Reporting System-Student (ERSS) reports. Students at levels 4 and below are classified as undergraduate students. Students at level 5 are determined to be graduate or postbaccalaureate students by their student standing code (0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, or 8). Whether coded as a graduate or postbaccalaureate student, all students who are determined not to be undergraduates based on their student standing code would pay the higher fee level of $1,584 per academic year. This rule also applies to students seeking teaching credentials.

Pending further possible action by the legislature, current fee rates approved by the Board of Trustees at their November meeting are as follows:
