Please note the following:
- *Any employee appointed in an AY position is ineligible to earn vacation credits.
- Part-time employees: accrue and carryover vacation on a pro-rata basis.
- Hourly employees accrue vacation upon completion of 160 hours of qualifying service.
160 hours is equal to working one full qualifying monthly pay period.
- Academic year employees are not eligible to earn vacation
- Some non-academic employees: are not eligible to earn vacation including
employees working as student assistants, graduate assistants, resident assistants,
and casual workers.
- Trade rate employees: accrue vacation based on applicable trade rate procedures

Holidays
Holidays are granted to all active employees that are on paid status, and there
is no waiting period for eligibility. Employees on non-pay status, however, do not
qualify for holiday pay.
