Russel Statham is graduate student in the Masters of Business Administration (MBA) program in the Craig School of Business at California State University, Fresno. He is also an alumnus of the Craig School of Business, holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration (Information Systems emphasis).

Statham is a member of both the Phi Kappa Phi and Beta Gamma Sigma international honor societies, and is a President’s Graduate Scholar Fellow. As an undergraduate, he was both a President's Scholar in the Smittcamp Family Honors College and a Craig Scholar in the Craig Honors Program at Fresno State.

As an undergraduate student prior to his appointment, Statham served in the Associated Students, Inc. at Fresno State as the student body vice president of finance and chief financial officer, a senator at-large, and as chief of staff to the student body president between 2006 and 2008. He also served as a member of the California State Student Association's executive committee, Board of Directors, and as an executive officer during the 2007-2008 academic year.

Outside of his graduate studies, Statham is active in the business community of the greater Fresno area. He has founded two companies - BAS Automation and Technical Services and BAS Technologies, Inc. - and currently serves as their CEO. In addition, he has worked in various K-12 education institutions as a technology consultant and as the interim director of information systems for the West Fresno School District in 2005.

Statham plans to graduate with his MBA in May of 2010 and hopes to pursue a Doctorate in Higher Education Leadership in the coming years.
