Steven M. Glazer

Governor Brown appointed Steven M. Glazer to the CSU Board of Trustees in 2011.

Glazer is the president of Glazer & Associates, a strategic and communications consulting company that he formed in 1989. His clients have included companies, landowners, environment organizations, and non-profit associations. He has held a variety of senior positions in the California Legislature, which include posts with then-Assemblyman Gray Davis and then-Senate President Pro Tempore David Roberti. In addition, he served as Jerry Brown’s senior political advisor from 2009 - 2012.

Glazer is serving his third term as Mayor of the City of Orinda in 2015. He was elected to the Council in 2004 and re-elected in 2008 and 2012.

Glazer also serves on the Statewide Leadership Council of the Public Policy Institute of California.

An alumnus of the CSU, Glazer earned a bachelor’s degree from San Diego State University. While attending SDSU, he served as president of Associated Students, the university’s student governing group and Chair of the California State Student Association.
