Steven M. Glazer

Governor Brown appointed Steven M. Glazer to the CSU Board of Trustees in 2011.

Glazer is the president of Glazer & Associates, a strategic and communications consulting company that he formed in 1989. His clients include companies, landowners, environment organizations, and non-profit associations. He has held a variety of senior positions in the California Legislature, which include posts with then-Assemblyman Gray Davis and then-Senate President Pro Tempore David Roberti. In addition, he has served as Jerry Brown’s senior political advisor since 2009.

Glazer also serves as a member of the Orinda City Council and sits on the board of the Central Contra Costa Solid Waste Authority, which is responsible for garbage and recycling services in portions of Contra Costa County.

An alumnus of the CSU, Glazer earned a bachelor’s degree from San Diego State University. While attending SDSU, he served as president of Associated Students, the university’s student governing group.
