Professional Experience
C.C. Yin owns and operates 19 McDonald's restaurants in Northern California's Solano and Lake Counties. He has been a franchisee for over 25 years and has received numerous awards for his entrepreneurship.
An active member of the community, Yin is a founding member and the chairman of the Asian Pacific Islander American Public Affairs Association (APAPA). Additionally he founded the Chinese American Association of Solano County and the Solano County Chinese Language School. He was appointed by Governor Schwarzenegger to serve as the California State Lottery Commissioner. He served as the Scholarship Finance Chair for the NAACP and as a member of the California Highway Patrol's Citizens Oversight Committee.
Prior to entering into the restaurant industry, he worked as a structural engineer at Fluor Corporation from 1971 to 1984, Bechtel Corporation from 1969 to 1971 and Austin Company from 1966 to 1969.
Yin earned a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Cheng Kung University in Taiwan and his master's degree in structural engineering from the University of Washington.
He enjoys skiing, basketball and running. He and his wife Regina have three daughters.
