| Valerie Vuicich
Valerie Vuicich is beginning her term as President of the California State University Alumni Council (CSUAC). She has been a member of this Council since 2004. She represents the CSUAC on the Steering Committee for Access to Excellence, the system-wide strategic planning process. While serving on the Council, she has been active with the Governmental Relations committee.
Valerie is in her second year as President and seventh year on the board of the Fresno State Alumni Association (FSAA). In addition to CSUAC and FSAA, other community activities include: Past Chair of the Board of Governors, Fresno Regional Foundation. While serving on the FRF board, her focus was on grant-making and board development. She has continued to participate with FRF as a member of the Board Development Task Force, Marketing Committee, and the Development and Nominating Committee. For the past twenty-two years Valerie has been active as a Past President and member of the Junior League of Fresno, Inc. The JLF focuses its efforts on children in need in the Central Valley. She has served as a counselor for Rotary International – District 5230 Camp Royal – Girls’ Rotary Youth and Leadership Camp for over twenty years including seven as head counselor. Valerie was a member of Class XIII of Leadership Fresno and continues her involvement through the Leadership Fresno Alumni Association. In addition she volunteers for the annual Clovis Rodeo Association Parade.
Valerie is employed by the Fresno County Office of Education as the Administrator for the Fresno Regional Occupational Program (ROP). She will be serving as the Co-Chair of the Curriculum and Instruction Committee for the CA Association of Regional Occupational Centers/Programs and a member of the Legislative Committee. In addition, she is the President of the California Association of Career Technical Education (CACTE) which is affiliated with the Association of Career Technical Education (ACTE), the largest national education association dedicated to the advancement of education that prepares youth and adults for careers. Valerie is currently serving on the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing, Vocational Education/Designated Subjects Credential Advisory Committee and she is a Founding Member of Central Valley Women in Educational Management. Valerie's previous work experience encompasses both secondary and adult education.
