- Raising Revenue
The following suggestions were made regarding raising revenue and that this tentatively could be a two-tier process: (1) increase in dues and (2) sponsorship with an exclusive corporate partner
- In-kind
Mr. Haynes provided an in-kind report to the Finance Committee. The in-kind report shows the Chancellor's Office staff in-kind support to the CSUAC.
- Dues
For calendar year 2003/2004 and as of January 28, 2004, $10,000 in dues has been received and $1,000 remains outstanding. Inquiry was made about how much revenue is needed and what is being accomplished with the dues.
Alumni Trustee Pierce reported that the $60,000 that is in the CSUAC's investment account was generated years ago by a CSUAC mortgage program that brought $50,000-$60,000 into the CSUAC. Alumni Trustee Pierce also reported that he worked with Mr. Brad Maher on this project. Regarding corporate sponsorship, sponsors need to be identified, need to quantify and qualify marketable assets and the need to have exclusive CSUAC sponsorship. Regarding an investment policy, we need to have a plan first then how to invest second.
Recommended that by March, the following be presented:
1. An investment policy
2. A budget projection
3. Long-term dues policy
4. Marketable asset policy and moving $50,000 now from the investment account into a marketable asset account
Over the next two to three weeks and via conference calls, President Linscheid, Ms. Bezerra and Mr. Haynes will be discussing the above recommended items and Alumni Trustee Pierce will speak with Mr. Brad Maher and inquire if Mr. Maher is available to offer advice and what his expense would be. Further, once the above recommended items have been determined and are in written form, these items will need to be presented to the CSUAC for adoption, included in the Bylaws and stored on the CSUAC website.
Also mentioned were:
The volunteer job description will need to added to the website
Mr. Haynes should contact Mr. Ron Simons at Cal Poly Pomona regarding the CSUACs 1996 logo and colors
