Resolution of Appreciation Upon the Retirement of
Gunnar and Sue Serpa

WHEREAS, Gunnar’s Galley has been an institution in the Office of the Chancellor for the past 22 years: and

WHEREAS, The Galley has provided an oasis of refreshment and serenity in an otherwise demanding and hectic working environment; and

WHEREAS, Gunnar and Sue have always met us with friendly faces and much-needed caffeine to carry us through the long day ahead; and

WHEREAS, Gunnar and Sue have repeatedly, and generously given up their free Fridays to remain open for the convenience of the Academic Senate when it is in session; therefore be it

RESOLVED: That the Academic Senate of California State University (ASCSU) go on record stating how much we will miss the presence of Gunnar’s Galley in this building in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED: That the ASCSU heartily thank Gunnar and Sue for their long-standing friendliness and service and wish them all the best in the years ahead.
