Commendation for Jack Munsee

WHEREAS, Jack Munsee has served capably in the Academic Senate of the California State University for one year, and also has been an effective California Faculty Association liaison to the Academic Senate CSU; and

WHEREAS, Jack Munsee's warm, gregarious nature makes him appear never to be a stranger in any situation; and

WHEREAS, His best joke, "Please don't say 'Hi Jack' at the airport," will go down in infamy; and

WHEREAS, Jack Munsee has been in full armor on his high-spirited charger fighting for faculty and gender equity long before it became a fashionable thing to do; and

WHEREAS, He has a very soft spot in his heart for Humboldt State University since he was a visiting professor there; and

WHEREAS, Jack has become a legend in his own time in the fashions he has set (or set back??) on the CSULB campus as well as the statewide senate; therefore be it

RESOLVED: That the Academic Senate of the California State University thank Jack Munsee and commend him for his service to the Academic Senate CSU and to the faculty throughout the CSU; and be it further

RESOLVED: That the Academic Senate CSU wish Jack Munsee well as he leaves us to fight other battles for the faculty through his expanded position with the CFA.
