Commendation of J. Theodore Anagnoson

AS-2756-06/EX - May 4-5, 2006

WHEREAS, J. Theodore Anagnoson has explicitly stated that he does not wish to be the subject of a resolution of commendation; and

WHEREAS, J. Theodore Anagnoson will nonetheless need such a resolution to show to his grandson, Gabriel Alan, when he asks "What did you do during your Glory Days, Grandpa?"; and

WHEREAS, J. Theodore Anagnoson was elected and has represented his campus, the California State University, Los Angeles, on the Academic Senate of the California State University with distinction for the past seven years; and

WHEREAS, While a member of the statewide Academic Senate J. Theodore Anagnoson has served on at least fourteen Senate task forces or committees, including serving as chair of the Academic Policies Committee and vice chair of the Senate; and

WHEREAS, J. Theodore Anagnoson successfully carried out the unenviable task of chairing the Academic Senate of the California State University Ad Hoc Task Force on the Senate Budget; and

WHEREAS, J. Theodore Anagnoson has faithfully brought donuts to the Wednesday morning meetings of the Senate Executive Committee; and

WHEREAS, J. Theodore Anagnoson has carried out all these responsibilities with a diligence that is an example to us all; therefore be it:

RESOLVED: That the Academic Senate of the California State University offer our thanks and gratitude to Ted Anagnoson for his exemplary service and contributions; and be it further

RESOLVED: That the Academic Senate of the California State University congratulate Ted Anagnoson on the birth of his grandson and wish both of them health, happiness, and the best of luck in all of their future endeavors.
