Commendation of Thomas M. Warschauer

WHEREAS, Thomas M. Warschauer has ably and enthusiastically served the students of San Diego State University as a respected and esteemed member of the faculty in the Finance Department in the College of Business Administration since 1977; and

WHEREAS, Thomas M. Warschauer developed the outstanding curriculum for the Personal Financial Planning Certificate that provides a strong educational basis for persons desiring careers in the field of personal financial planning and that is registered with the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards; and

WHEREAS, Thomas M. Warschauer was elected and served with distinction as a Senator in the Academic Senate CSU for four years; and

WHEREAS, During the period of that service, Thomas M. Warschauer has faithfully represented his discipline, his campus, and his libertarian principles in his work on the Faculty Affairs Committee, knowing that he often espoused a minority view of matters important to all faculty and doing so with good humor and rueful humor; and

WHEREAS, Thomas M. Warschauer's contributions to the Academic Senate CSU have been substantial, recognized by his election to the office of Vice Chair of the Faculty Affairs Committee; therefore be it

RESOLVED: That the Academic Senate of the California State University bestow its thanks and gratitude upon Thomas M. Warschauer for his exemplary service and contributions; and be it further

RESOLVED: That the Academic Senate CSU wish health, happiness, and longevity to our esteemed Senatorial colleague, Thomas M. Warschauer, during his retirement.
