Commendation for Alumni Trustee Frederick W. Pierce IV

WHEREAS, Frederick W. Pierce IV has actively and effectively served as the Alumni Trustee of the California State University (CSU) since 1999, holding such positions as chair of the Committee on Audit and the Committee on Institutional Advancement, and as Vice Chair of the Committee on University and Faculty Personnel; and

WHEREAS, He has ably advocated for and expanded the role and visibility of Alumni participation in the CSU in concert with the CSU Alumni Council on which he has served since 1991, including a term as its president; and

WHEREAS, He has consistently and effectively provided excellent stewardship in assessing the fiscal and financial health of the CSU at both campus and system levels and particularly in the area of institutional advancement; and

WHEREAS, He has steadfastly advocated for students and the quality of their education; therefore be it

RESOLVED: That the Academic Senate CSU bestow its thanks and gratitude upon Frederick W. Pierce IV for his exemplary service and contributions; and be it further

RESOLVED: That we are extremely proud to claim him as a CSU alumnus, and the Academic Senate CSU extend its very best wishes to Frederick W. Pierce IV and wish him well in his future endeavors.
