Campuses were asked for their advice at several steps of the drafting process, and they
responded with many valuable suggestions. During Spring 2001, an ad hoc drafting committee
revised and refined the draft in the light of advice from campuses. The purpose of the
report is to present the concerns of the Academic Senate CSU to policy-making bodies,
the Board of Trustees and the legislature, who are responsible for policy-making and
budget-making for the CSU.
