RESOLVED: That the Academic Senate of the California State University support

SB 171, the Higher Education Facilities Bond Act of November 1996, as introduced.

RATIONALE: Urgent needs exist on many CSU campuses for repairs and upgrading existing facilities, and all campuses face the need to prepare for the large number of students, now in elementary and middle schools, who will seek enrollment in the CSU early in the next century.
