Voter Registration

RESOLVED: That the Academic Senate of the California State University support the nonpartisan efforts of the California Faculty Association (CFA) and the California State Student Association (CSSA) to register faculty, staff and students for the November 1994 election, and encourage campus senates to lend their support to nonpartisan voter registration efforts on their campuses.
RATIONALE: Several issues on the November 1994 ballot are critical to the continued viability of the CSU. Mobilizing faculty, staff and students for the election will allow members of the CSU to perform their civic duty and have some influence over the outcome of the election.
