Linda Schmitz is the Senior Administrative Assistant to the Assistant Vice Chancellor (AVC) of the Office of Advocacy and State Relations. In this position she plans, schedules and coordinates the AVCs calendar assuring essential meetings are scheduled with members of the California Legislature, Governor's Office and Cabinet members. Linda also prioritizes and schedules meetings with the leadership of the California State Assembly and Senate for the CSU Chancellor and senior executives in addition to confidential and executive secretarial duties for the AVC. Linda has been with the CSU for 11 years.

Prior to her work with CSU, Linda was the Legislative Assistant for a Sacramento lobbying firm where she was responsible for all administrative functions relating to the legislative arm of the firm including bill tracking and client management. She assisted in meeting and convention planning for the firm's non-profits when they made their annual legislative trip to the Capitol.

Linda attended Central Texas College where she majored in psychology and business management.
